About Ugly

Ugly is a hard rock band from Detroit, Michigan, formed when the members of two Midwest bands crossed paths at the Cleveland Music Festival in 2003. Frontman Geo Teubl of Bridge and bassist Frank Green of Outspoken struck up a friendship after their bands performed on the same stage, and two years later when both bands had dissolved, guitarist Kevin McCreery reached out to Teubl to start something new. Their first jam session with Donnie Highland on drums and Green on bass immediately clicked, and Ugly was born. Drawing from the blue-collar rock tradition of their city - Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock - the band built a fierce Midwest following with high-energy live shows that attracted a fiercely loyal crowd. Their debut self-titled album was produced by Rick Parashar, known for his work with Pearl Jam and Nickelback, and released in 2007.
