About Seven Mary Three

Seven Mary Three is an American rock band from Williamsburg, Virginia, formed in 1992 by vocalist and guitarist Jason Ross, guitarist Thomas Juliano, bassist Casey Daniel, and drummer Giti Khalsa. The band developed their post-grunge sound at the College of William and Mary before relocating to Orlando and eventually catching the attention of Mammoth Records, which signed them and released their debut album American Standard (1995). The album's lead single Cumbersome became one of the defining alternative rock hits of 1996 — spending an extraordinary seventeen weeks at number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, a record at the time — and introduced the band to a national audience hungry for the melodic, emotionally direct post-grunge sound they had perfected.
