F 5

F5 is an American rock band formed by drummer David Ellefson, best known as a founding member and bassist of thrash metal giants Megadeth. Ellefson assembled F5 as a melodic hard rock project during a period away from Megadeth, recruiting vocalist Dale Steele, guitarist Steve Conley, guitarist John Davis, and drummer Dave Small. Their debut album A Drug for All Seasons was released in 2005 on Mascot Records, showcasing a more accessible melodic rock sound that drew from classic hard rock influences while reflecting the members' individual pedigrees in the metal world. The band toured in support of the album before Ellefson eventually returned to Megadeth.
