Licensing & Usage

Photography by Wayne Dennon — Dennon Photography

Every photograph on this site was taken by Wayne Dennon, who documented live rock music from 2002 until his passing in December 2019. The archive is maintained as a tribute to his work and to the shows he spent his life photographing. All images remain the copyrighted property of Dennon Photography.

These photos are shared publicly because they deserve to be seen, not because they are free to take. If an image is useful to you, there is almost certainly a way to use it properly, and the answer is usually yes. Just ask first.

Personal Use

You are welcome to view, share, and link to any page on this site. Posting a photo to your personal social media is fine provided the image is not cropped, edited, or stripped of its watermark, and provided Wayne Dennon is credited by name with a link back to waynedennon.com.

Please do not re-upload images to stock photo sites, print-on-demand services, wallpaper or image aggregator sites, or NFT platforms. Please do not use them to train machine learning models.

Commercial & Editorial Use

Any use beyond personal sharing requires written permission. That includes editorial use in publications, band and label promotional material, merchandise, album artwork, books, documentaries, broadcast, advertising, and commercial websites.

Licensing terms are handled case by case. Rates depend on the use, the audience, and the term. Musicians and their management asking about photos of their own performances are treated generously, and bands are welcome to inquire about images of themselves. High-resolution originals are available to licensees.

Request a License

To license an image, email andrewpike2000+waynedennon.com@gmail.com with the following, and you will get a reply:

The URL of the page the photo appears on, or the artist, venue, and date so the photo can be located; a description of how and where you intend to use it; the publication, brand, or organization involved; and how long you need the rights for.

If you believe a photo from this archive is being used somewhere without permission, that is also worth reporting to the same address.
