The band's momentum carried them through the back half of the decade with continued milestones. Since the summer of 2005, 2Cents traced nearly every major highway in North America, introducing their high energy live act and passion filled intense music to crowd after crowd. In 2009, the band returned to the studio with Matt Hyde and signed with Eight-O-Five Records, releasing the album Dress to Kill, which produced the single "Get What?" that reached number 31 on the Mainstream charts. Along the way the band toured alongside acts like GWAR and shared festival bills with major national touring packages, cementing a reputation built on relentless roadwork rather than radio ubiquity, with lineup shifts along the way including Jesse Fishman on bass from 2004 to 2008 and Dean Woodward on guitar from 2001 to 2008. 2Cents remained active for decades as a heavy metal, nu metal, and hardcore punk band out of Malibu known for their energetic live performances and extensive touring history. Even as trends in heavy music shifted through the 2000s and beyond, the band's identity stayed rooted in that original ethos of hard touring and unfiltered aggression, a legacy that outlasted many of the more polished acts of their nu metal contemporaries and left them remembered as a genuine road band rather than a studio creation.

Wayne Dennon photographed the band on two separate occasions between 2006 and 2007, right in the thick of their Lost at Sea touring cycle, and the archive now holds 49 photographs from those nights across two different cities.
