About Socialburn

Socialburn traces its roots to Blountstown, a small town in central Florida, where high school friends Neil Alday (vocals, guitar), Dusty Price (bass), and Brandon Bittner (drums) began playing together in the mid to late 1990s. Socialburn originated in the mid-'90s around high-school pals Neil Alday, Dusty Price, and Brandon Bittner, and after forming on the fly in their tiny central Florida hometown, the group expanded into the scene in nearby Tallahassee, where listeners took a liking to their straightforward post-grunge growl. By 2000, guitarist Chris Cobb had been added and a self-released CD had dropped , rounding the band out into the four-piece lineup that would carry them forward. The band branched out with gigs in Jacksonville and Orlando, hoping to generate label interest in an area already buzzing with the success of Creed , building a reputation as a hard-charging post-grunge act with roots firmly planted in the Florida panhandle.
