About Papa Roach
Papa Roach is an American rock band from Vacaville, California, formed in 1993 and built around vocalist Jacoby Shaddix, guitarist Jerry Horton, bassist Tobin Esperance, and drummer Dave Buckner. The band spent years grinding through the Northern California club circuit before their major label debut Infest (2000) on DreamWorks Records transformed them into one of the defining rock acts of the early 2000s. Infest's lead single Last Resort — a raw, urgent song about suicidal ideation that Shaddix has spoken openly about drawing from his own experience — became one of the most recognizable rock tracks of its era, reaching number one on the Mainstream Rock chart and crossing over to massive pop radio airplay.
