The group's breakthrough came with their major-label debut, released through DreamWorks Records. Papa Roach signed with DreamWorks Records in 1999, subsequently releasing the triple-platinum album Infest in 2000, which contained the band's breakthrough hit "Last Resort," a song that peaked at No. 1 on the Alternative Songs chart and was certified 6x platinum. The album itself was certified triple platinum in the U.S. and peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart, earning the band a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist . That success made Papa Roach one of the defining acts of the early-2000s nu metal explosion, and the band followed it with the gold album Lovehatetragedy in 2002 and the platinum album Getting Away with Murder in 2004 , songs that, alongside "Last Resort," remain the band's signature material.

Over more than three decades, Papa Roach has weathered lineup changes while continuing to tour and record prolifically. Founding drummer Dave Buckner departed in 2007 and was replaced by Tony Palermo , while Shaddix, Horton, and Esperance have remained constants. The band went on to make Metamorphosis (2009), Time for Annihilation (2010), The Connection (2012), F.E.A.R. (2015), and Crooked Teeth (2017) , followed by Who Do You Trust? in 2019 and their eleventh studio album, Ego Trip, in 2022. Across their career, Papa Roach has sold more than 18 million album copies worldwide , and by the mid-2020s the band could claim 26 songs reaching the Top 10 and an impressive 12 hitting the No. 1 spot across the Rock, Alternative, and Hot AC formats over 25 years .

Papa Roach remains an active touring force today, still fronted by Jacoby Shaddix alongside longtime members Jerry Horton and Tobin Esperance. In 2025 the band celebrated the 25th anniversary of Infest with the large-scale "Rise of the Roach" tour alongside Rise Against, a run that included sold-out shows at London's Wembley Arena before continuing across North America . The band has also used its platform for mental health advocacy, notably through its enduring association with "Last Resort" and newer material like "Leave a Light On." More than two decades after "Last Resort" first hit radio, Papa Roach's blend of rap-metal aggression and anthemic hooks continues to be cited as a defining sound of the nu metal era, and the band remains a fixture on major rock tours and festival bills worldwide.

For this archive, Papa Roach holds a special place: Wayne Dennon photographed the band eleven times between 2004 and 2010, capturing them across six different cities in three states as they rode the momentum of Getting Away with Murder and The Paramour Sessions into arenas and festival stages. Those shows are preserved here in 333 photographs, a body of work that fans have returned to again and again, racking up 265,462 views over the years. It stands as one of the richest visual records in Wayne's archive, a testament to both his dedication behind the lens and the band's relentless decade on the road.
