About Anna Nalick

Anna Nalick was born in Temple City, California, on March 30, 1984, and raised in the nearby town of Glendora. Music surrounded her from an early age; she grew up in a family where two of the grandparents had performed on Broadway, and her parents exposed her to a number of different artists, including Elvis Presley and Led Zeppelin. While attending college, she began recording homemade demos, and through a teaching contact at the university she was introduced to producers Christopher Thorn and Brad Smith, successful musicians who had built their careers as members of the critically acclaimed rock band Blind Melon. Impressed by her raw talent, they helped her secure a recording contract in 2003 with Columbia Records, launching her career as a solo singer-songwriter rooted in introspective folk-pop storytelling.
