About KISS

KISS is an American rock band formed in New York City in January 1973, built on the revolutionary idea that a rock concert should be a full theatrical spectacle — complete with elaborate costumes, face paint, fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, and pyrotechnics on a scale that had never been seen before. The original lineup consisted of Paul Stanley (the Starchild), Gene Simmons (the Demon), Ace Frehley (the Spaceman), and Peter Criss (the Catman), each adopting an exaggerated alter ego that became as iconic as the music itself. Few bands in rock history have built a brand as instantly recognizable or as enduring as KISS.
