About The Leo Project

The Leo Project is an American hard rock and metal band founded in 2005, built around frontman Tyler Lyon alongside his cousin Lance Bennett on percussion and Sean Hamel on bass. The band started as an acoustic project before evolving into a fully electric outfit that retained the melodic sensibility of their acoustic roots while adding a heavy rock edge. In 2007 guitarist Creighton Bibbs completed the lineup, giving the band the searing guitar work to match their already bold sound. Drawing from an eclectic mix of influences including Pantera, Van Halen, ZZ Top, and Phil Collins, The Leo Project developed a signature blend of soulful harmonies, blistering guitars, and powerful percussion that walks the line between hard rock, metal, and mainstream accessibility. The band won Rock Album of the Year at the Los Angeles Music Awards and built a strong live reputation, sharing stages with Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Slipknot, Godsmack, Seether, Rob Zombie, Three Days Grace, and Shinedown. Their debut album The Burning was followed by a sophomore record produced by Fred Archambault, known for his work with the Deftones and Avenged Sevenfold, released on Burning Scissors Records.
